Festival 2026

The Euritmia Mediterranea International Festival returns in 2026 with a renewed and ambitious vision. For six days, the historic city of Colle di Val d'Elsa transforms into an epicenter of creativity, dialogue, and encounter without borders, where the arts invade theatres, alleys and squares!
The theme of this edition is Seeds of Community: in a time marked by distance and fragmentation, we choose to use art, movement, and music as powerful tools to weave new social bonds, regenerate a sense of belonging, and imagine a different future together.
THE VISION
In an era often dominated by digital isolation and passivity, the Euritmia Mediterranea Festival was born as a cultural antidote. Our vision is not merely to offer entertainment, but to create a living laboratory of humanity.
"Sowing community" means having the patience and care to cultivate authentic relationships. We believe that art—and specifically Eurythmy, with its ability to make inner movement visible—can be the fertile ground on which to grow a more empathetic and conscious society.
For six days, there will be no passive spectators, only active protagonists: every concert, every workshop, and every performance is an invitation to participate, to move, to converse. We want anyone arriving in Colle, whether an international artist or a local citizen, to feel part of a single, great living organism.
THE FESTIVAL
The 2026 edition transcends the boundaries of the theater to embrace the entire city, built upon three fundamental pillars that dialogue with one another:
1. Artistic Excellence and Cross-Pollination
The beating heart of the festival lies within the Teatro del Popolo, where tradition meets modernity. Here, top Eurythmy academies from around the world will share the stage with icons of Italian and international songwriting. It is a unique experiment in artistic synesthesia, where music becomes gesture and words become movement, offering the audience high-level performances that nourish the soul.
2. The Urban Heart: The City as a Stage
Art shouldn't stay locked behind four walls. For this reason, we have decided to peacefully invade the streets. From the evocative Upper Town (Colle Alta) to the vibrant Piazza Unità dei Popoli, the city will become an open-air set. Through musical parades, widespread street art, installations, and quality street food areas, the festival transforms urban space into a place of celebration and sharing, culminating in the Night of the Mediterranean: a grand free event in the square to celebrate the joy of being together through folk dances.
3. The Future: Education and New Generations
We believe that "sowing" primarily means looking toward the youth. The festival dedicates special attention to public schools and new generations, offering free theatrical matinées (with a special tribute to Pinocchio and his connection to the territory), inclusive workshops, and experiential laboratories. Furthermore, with the Forum on the Future, the festival becomes an agora for debate on crucial themes such as sustainability, social justice, and education, demonstrating that culture is the primary engine of change.
THE VALUES
The Euritmia Mediterranea Festival is founded on ethical principles that guide every organizational choice we make:
Radical Inclusion: Art is a universal right. Our program is designed to break down barriers: between experts and novices, between different generations, between distant cultures. We offer numerous free events to ensure that beauty is accessible to everyone.
Integral Sustainability: Care for the environment reflects care for the human being. We are proud to be a Plastic-Free event; we promote sustainable mobility and value the zero-kilometer food and wine products of our territory.
Roots and Innovation: We cherish the legacy of Eurythmy not as a museum piece, but as living matter. We place it in dialogue with contemporary languages—from folk to songwriting, from civil theater to world music—to demonstrate its extraordinary relevance as an art of social transformation.
